The Alliance of Women Executives (AWE) was born in 2016 during an Uber ride in New York City. Thinking about the incredible women who supported me through the passing of my father, I realized they didn’t know each other and bringing them together could create something powerful. As a former recruiter who values strong networks, I envisioned a group built on shared experiences and mutual support.
Over brunch, I shared my vision which included a philanthropic component: helping young women in Palm Beach County overcome financial barriers to education through scholarships. Within four hours AWE was formed.
What began as a small gathering has grown into a structured network dedicated to raising funds and providing scholarships and laptops to help young women pursue higher education.
“Changing the world begins at home.” That’s AWE, starting in our own community and making a tangible difference.
